Mamma Mia! Italian preview

Yesterday I finally saw Mamma Mia! in Italian. There was a preview for free (though little publicized) in several cities in Italian cinema of the UCI circuit, sponsored by Hallmark channel and the weekly modern woman. What about

. After having seen the original version in English and English dubbed version, I remained a little 'disappointed. Some sentences in the Italian version does not match the original screenplay. Same thing happens with translations of the songs. Perhaps in an attempt to make them more poetic in Italian ends up betraying the original meaning of the lyrics. Of course, for the average spectator will not believe this is a problem, but for us fans ... Two examples: in Chiquitita, "you've broken a feather" becomes "your heart is broken" and in I have a dream "I'll cross the stream" becomes "cross the river" (shame that Sophie is in the boat on the sea at that time ...). A good thing is that they put the subtitles to the songs. Actually, knowing how to be a bit 'here with the musical, I was prepared for the worst ...

addition to the usual voice actress Meryl Streep did not seem like much at the entrance of Donna. I remember crying in the scene talked about Sleeping through my fingers, but yesterday I hardly moved. Sometimes then it becomes a bit tiring the transition from singing in English, recited in Italian, especially in those cadres who have recited phrases within the songs. I mean, I can not wait to come out on DVD to see it in version Original version with subtitles. I wonder if it will be released in a few movies in original version with subtitles as happened with The Phantom of the Opera ...

Being the third time I saw him I then concentrated on quotations from other musicals. At least I hope they are quotes and not lack of originality by the director ... Here's what I remember:

- the plane that splits the screen to leave the title as a wake Mamma Mia! Recalls tabling ABBA The Movie
- Dancing queen in is shot with Donna followed by the chorus of women who recalled Do-Re-Mi of All together passionately
- always Dancing queen, with Donna now followed by a female crowd, there are quotations from We Go Together Grease of Gethsemane and in Jesus Christ Superstar
- another tribute to JC Superstar is the picture of Tanya, Does Your Mother Know , in some places the choreography is identical to that of Simon Zelotes
- Slipping Through My Fingers in is the scene of the mirror that of the chimes are very The Phantom of the Opera
- the wet reprise of my Mom recalls the scene of water And Kept the money rolling in in the movie Evita
Let me know if you find it more ...

I have also reviewed much of the scene When All Is Said and Done . At first it seemed too static, almost boring. Yesterday I saw a tribute to the song itself, which here takes on a new identity: no longer than the end of a love but that of a budget of life. The words and music are so beautiful that you do not need to be interpreted by a beautiful voice (that Pierce Brosnan sings it) nor a season with beautiful images for effect. It is, at least for me, one of the most beautiful songs of Abba, even though it has had the success he deserved it because there was released as a single. I think it's the most beautiful text ever written together with Bjorn to The Winner Takes It All .

Eventually, after the reprise of Dancing Queen when Meryl asks: "Do you want another?" I noticed that there were more than two of you to scream! What is a good omen for the success of Mamma Mia! also in Italy?

Ormail October 3rd is near. Today I read that there will be another preview October 2 in different cities. Everyone, sooner or later, enjoy!

Wording For Thank You Certificate

ABBACarramba!

Great tribute to ABBA, last night by the National Raffa in the first episode of Caramba! what luck. A medley made together with four other ladies of the Italian song: Alexia, Ivana Spagna, Cornflower and Marcella Bella.
Beyond the sins of playback for me to cover most successful were: Dancing Queen sung by Alexia and Waterloo, in a very original version, that Raphael had already sung in English for the special Eurovision 2008, which she conducted. A ballad about Waterloo dearly heels record! Raffaella
still support that would be a "Woman" is perfect for any setting of the Italian musical Mamma Mia!
